Lessons in Humility

Every day each of us has an opportunity to turn away from our ego-driven lives and learn a lesson in #humility. The definition of humility is “freedom from pride or arrogance,” according to Merriam Webster. Each time we turn on the news we have the opportunity to see how pride and arrogance operate in negative ways all around us.

Every time someone decides his or her way is better than another human being, or that some humans or animals are more important than others; we experience the pride and arrogance that separates us as a nation.

Let’s forget about what separates us in politics for just a moment to recognize how the entire world is polarized to be better than, smarter than, and stronger than all of the other nations in the world. We are led to believe that the reason we “must” be stronger is for safety. However, this couldn’t be further from the truth.

Yes, we need to stop dictators like Kim Yawn OOOn and any other dictator from killing and harming others. This, of course, takes force. Or does it? What stopped North Korea’s dictator recently from continuing to test his powerful death missiles seems to be a recent meeting of minds. What exactly was exchanged in that meeting between Pompeo and North Korea? Was it whose weapons are stronger or bigger? Or was there diplomacy used to help assuage Dictator Kim to put down his weapons?

I’d be very interested in knowing exactly what happened behind those closed doors. Perhaps, what we see in the news is a really all a big show or a play that was born of a secret negative society to make President Trump look stronger than he is. NO ONE really knows. If entire countries can think that a chemical attack on innocent children is people creating “fake news” to further their political ideations, then anything is possible in my mind.

How much of all of the governmental challenges of our nation is our personal problem to deal with and how much is your worry and concern actually helping the issues in politics?

What polarizes us as a community and country are strong, organic feelings that result in a combined voice of many. This unification is what calls us to a higher cause. We are not made stronger by polarizing our negativity and our truth to separate us from the rest of the world or society. We are made powerful by uniting with one another for a greater, more durable and positive cause.

I look at the world’s big causes right now and continue watching which ones are actually causing people to act and rise up in powerful oneness. The “me too” and the “children’s gun control” causes are the movements that are revealing dark lies and bringing light into our world to exposes and erradicate more darkness. The movements that separate us like White Supremacy and Religious rhetoric are only making the world polarized in a negative way.

One might argue that each are arguing for a cause and both have a right to an opinion. That might be true if one opinion didn’t harm people and the other liberate those harmed from abuse and murder. But, anyone who has eyes to see can see that humility and power can go hand in hand whenever the cause is just and is to protect the innocent and powerless.

Maybe It’s Time to Change What I Believe About God!

I watched a television show called “#Westworld,” that totally took me off-guard and changed my point of view for about 48 hours. The premise of the show is that a creator-inventor fabricated a fake Wild West with humanlike characters that people could pay large amounts of cash to experience a virtual world.

The writer #Michael_Crichton obviously metaphorically wrote a story of creation where each creature that is created and programmed forgets the day before and sets out on a new day with the intent to fulfill the script that had been programmed into his or her body.

However, these virtual characters must react with a new set of “visitors” from the outside world each day, who want to experience things like a old time shoot out, killing someone, having an affair with a prostitute, falling in love, or simply be a voyeur.

The twist happens when the characters that had been used and reprogrammed as other roles in the Westworld begin to self-actualize  and become humanlike.

My husband and I were kind of mesmerized for 24 hours and actually decided we wanted to watch the rest of the first season, when we realized that #ONDEMAND let us watch only the first episode for free and the rest would cost $29.99.  Then we decided against watching. We don’t like to watch a great deal of television. When we do, however, we want it to be part of the already expensive cable package we already pay for.

Long story short, I realized that I had gotten the lesson that I was to have received from watching the first show of the season. I am not a robot programmed to fulfill a purpose here on this Earth. I am an actualizad creative human being made in the image of the creator  but animated by the vast Spirit within, who gets to choose everyday whether I want to be a part of this amazing world lesson.

Yes, I do believe everyday is a choice. We can choose to move toward the light or allow our egos to drive us to making choices that negatively impact others on the Earth or who will eventually come to the Earth for similar lessons.

The majority of the people around us are making negative choices are all around us, being influenced by #negative_entities and operating solely on their egos. We see it in the president and his cronies. We see it in most of our large businesses and factory farms. We we it in the advertisements on television trying to make us believe in illusions more than fact. We often don’t imagine it, though, that there are, in the ether, negative spirits coercing us to move off of the path of light toward a more negative path.

However, if you understood that you could move past this daily challenge of right and wrong to a higher state of consciousness, in a place some call heaven, perhaps, you would find yourself making more choices like the Buddhists, who believe that selflessness is godly.

There was a time I thought that #Christianity was filled with people who were “godly.” But it seems that most of the mainstream Christian folks have turned their back on the greatest message of Jesus, which is to love and not judge others. Christians have become like the Sadducees and the Pharisees of the New Testament. And as Jesus is here today in the clouds, (the people fighting for the rights of downtrodden and helpless) turning over the tables in the Marketplace set up just outside the walls of the church. Leading the rebellion are those who have been abused by people calling themselves Christians, thinly veiled in narcissism, people abusing children, animals, people not as smart as them, and taking advantage of everyone and anything they can for self gain.

I have realized that I have a choice. I have to call it like it is in my life. I once proudly said I was a Christian, because I thought the word meant to believe in the words of Christ. Now, however, the word “Christianity” has come to mean dual-minded and self-righteous and judgmental and greedy. I want nothing of this kind of person. I will, however, maintain my beliefs that Jesus, the God-man, was the perfect role model and will continue to follow in His footsteps, but I will no longer call myself a Christian, for fear I might be lumped into the pile of ego-driven judges that drive the right wing and those fighting for the rights of the “good people” who want the world to be all white.

I want no part of it!

What Is Your Story as of Today?

I wrote a book a couple of years back called “Your New Story, Your New Life.” The premise of the book lies in the idea that we #create_your_story everyday of your life. If you believe this and follow my directions on how to use your creative energy to change the negativity in your life, you will soon see your life blossom into something you only thought you could dream of.

My book, I would come to find out, was prophetic of my own life in the coming years. Last evening, my hubby and I were listening to a YouTube podcast about spirituality last night. The lecturer, Scott Mandleker, spoke about how most people on this earth right now, don’t like their jobs, their chosen mates, their homes, their life situations, their relationships. In fact, he said that almost a huge % of people dislike 2 of the 5 aspects of their lives, everyday, every moment.

After listening, Dave and I chatted about the impact the talk had on us, which is our usual course of action, before we prayer together. This is our nighttime ritual before sleep. Personally, I was taken by the fact that most people don’t like their lives or certain aspects of it. My first thought, though, was that I loved each part of my life, especially the parts Scott mentioned that most people hate.

I also remember thinking that there had been times in my recent past that I didn’t like a few aspects of my life. I asked myself and David what it was that he thought changed in the past few years that made the huge shift in both of our lives. (David also confided that he didn’t like his job, lack of relationship, and much of what he felt in his recent past was a stagnancy with lack of hope.)

Obviously, we realized that the #SHIFT BEGAN. Before we ever dated, we became prayer partners. Our lives immediately began to shift almost everyday. Dave was so shocked at how quickly his life began to turn around that he began to commit to the prayer even more. I had already written my book, but it wasn’t published. In fact, Dave was the one hired to design and create the book cover. Even though I believed everything that I had written in the book, I hadn’t seen the powerful work that prayer could do to change even the most miniscule parts of my life that weren’t to my exact liking.

When I first moved to Florida I was in a place where I had no idea what I wanted to be “when I grow up.” I literally put down my own spiritual paint brush and asked God to inspire a new vision for me, one that would create 100% happiness everyday in my work, in my relationships, in my family, and in my living situation.

When I think of where I started and where I am now, I believe that every seed that Dave and I had planted into the celestial garden of Spirit has not only grown, but has begun to bear much fruit.

For instance, We often prayed for prosperity. We didn’t pray for the kind of prosperity that is too much for any one person. We simply wanted to be taken care of and have some left over to give as we pleased and at least go out to dinner a couple of times a week. When we look at our financials, this year we have made 4x more this past four months than we did this time last year. FOUR times more! That’s huge.

Now, this is not to say that we haven’t opened scary doors that sometimes frightened us because we didn’t understand where they might lead. But our goal was always to encourage each other to open every positive door and see where God would take us. As a result, we have had the ride of our lives. Another example of this is: I had started painting as a hobby and a fun thing to do with my husband. In only a few months, I had sold 5 paintings. This is just an example of doing what your heart is inspired to do, inspite of your fears.

Dave, too, has had quite the reversal where his work has taken him. When he lived in Dublin, Ireland, he had worked in a job that never really served his higher purpose for so long that he began to feel that life would always be rough in this aspect of his life. It was hard for him to dig himself out of the hole he dug for himself, where work was concerned.

When we began praying together, within a month the company he worked for literally closed their doors. He was pushed out of the door and into life by a few of his helper angels, I’d say. Though scary, this was the best thing that could have ever happened in his life. This release of that job and a severance package is what led him to come to the states for a couple of visits. Of course, this is when we fell in love.

The rests is history.

My thought here—and I hope it’s your thought too—is that you can change your life today. You may need some support to help you in your prayer life, as I did. But this is also something you can pray for and ask Spirit to lead you to. Had I not said to Dave at the very beginning of our work relationship (he was going to design the cover of the exact book that I was talking about at the beginning of this blog), we would have never had the opportunity to commit each day to prayer, sowing seeds of truth into the spiritual world of thought… where all life and dreams begin.

As I have often said to my spiritual students, “You sow the seeds into the spiritual consciousness, and God grows the plant. This is the same action and metaphor that happens with an actual seed for any plant or flower. Plant it! Take care of it (with positive and hopeful thoughts)! The result is a beautiful and lovely flower, plant, or fruit tree that takes a little longer, but will bear fruit for many years.
