Bravo, Meryl Streep: “Be a Light in the Darkness!”
January 9, 2017
Say’s Meryl Streep as the recipient of the Golden Globe’s Cecil B. DeMille Award 2017:
“There was one performance this year that stunned me—it sank its hooks in my heart. Not because it was good, there was nothing good about it. But it was effective and it did its job. It made its intended audience laugh and show their teeth,” Streep said of the incident where Donald Trump mocked and mimicked a NY reporter.
“It was the moment where the person asking to sit in the most respected seat in our country imitated a disabled reporter. Someone he outranked in privilege, power, and the capacity to fight back. It kind of broke my heart when I saw it and I still can’t get it out of head because it wasn’t a movie, it was real life.”
As I watched the “Golden Globes” last night, I have to admit, most of the time when someone won an award, I thought, “Hurray for me” would be the next winner’s speech. But, as I have learned to listen hard at unexpected times, I heard the words above from a renowned person of privilege and honor and who is most people’s favorite actress in the world.

Continued from above:
Streep later added a plea to Hollywood and those outside the acting community to remind each other “of the privilege and the responsibility of the act of empathy.”
About this speech: There’s no denying many are disappointed at the Trump presidency and the Republican take-over. We wish it hadn’t happened. We wish Putin hadn’t been involved in trying to get Trump elected. We wish ISIS were not terrorizing the world. We wish more people in the right places would get out and vote in various parts of the world to avoid the uprising and governmental takeovers that take place not only in the US, but many other smaller countries around the world.
There is no denying that all of us are where we are because the people of this world are frightened! We are where we are because after many years of hurting the earth and its atmosphere and its people, the earth itself fights back with cataclysmic weather events such at tornadoes, hurricanes, tsunamis and earthquakes. The downtrodden people who are not heard rise up to change the demographics of power with bitterness and rankor.
If you think that these counterattacks at the world and its citizens are a fluke, I don’t think you’re listening very hard to the cries of the universe, nor the cries of those downtrodden.
BUT, what do we do as light workers in the world as we watch heinous murders and bad decision-making take place in the government? I know you may feel as helpless as I do. But,
- Are you worried?
- Are you thinking sad and negative thoughts?
- Are you propagating more fear and anger by fighting back with negativity?
- Are you demanding that your mind stay focused on the most important events in history?
- Are you forcing your mind to stay fixed on the positive change that must take place for the Earth to survive this paramount time of destruction?
If you aren’t meditating on positive change, then you are not being the light that God has made you. If you are not using your personal power as Meryl Streep did, every moment of every day, as a chance to speak words of wisdom and occupy the atmosphere with light and goodness and empathy, then you are not reflecting the power of God within you.
If you don’t hold the high watch, who will?
Make a commitment today to stand with me and pray or meditate for just 10 minutes a day on positive change.
- See truth entering the minds of Governmental Officials
- Be compassion and charity for those who need your help.
- Thank God for your distinct spiritual awareness.
- Believe change has already happened.
- Keep your mind fixed on the beauty and love in the world.
I assure you, that good will rise up once again like the Phoenix from the ashes.
