Waiting… Wait… Keep on Waiting: AGGGHH!

Has life been a constant waiting game—for that important phone call, that new job, that business deal, and that all important wait—the money you need yesterday?

A recent article in The Guardian entitled:

“Poor people don’t plan long-term. We’ll just get our hearts broken”

speaks volumes. Is life supposed to be about waiting_impatiently or are we to have an important understanding about life that we haven’t yet understood? This morning I woke up and decided to sit quietly, because I noticed recently I have been contemplating poverty instead of prosperity, which is an old habit. I grew up poor, so the thoughts of loss and never having enough run through my veins. Often, I have to take a moment to process why.

As I sat quietly, I asked myself and the Universe the question: Why?

Continued from above:

I start with some deep breaths, finding a way to open my heart to Truth, perhaps, I’m not aware of in my own mind. I let go of my arms, my legs, my face muscles, even the control of my breath and feel my body grow limp, in the arms of something much greater than I. This kind of Letting Go is imperative to reaching out of your humanness into a spiritual place that most of us are simply afraid of going.

For me, this has become my home—my comfort zone, my re-energizing space, my place of inquiry and recharging!

In this place, I began to feel interestingly and unusual sensation. I felt as if I was sitting in front of myself. It frightened me a little. So, I quickly pulled away. Then, I realized this was part of the process. I let go again and imagined that same feeling. It happened again. This time I stayed with it as long as I could. Inner guidance!

What I recognized was that I was being called to come out of my old thinking and look into the present moment, the prosperous place where there is no anxiety. The reason why this place felt unusual was because it held within it—complete peace, with no resistance.

Before I knew it, almost an hour had gone by. My dog began to whine, because it was time for Daddy to take him on his morning walk. I don’t ever need an alarm in the morning. Coco has the time firmly imbedded in his brain.

I was still fumbling around, half-wake and half-asleep as I walked down the corridor in front of my condo to get to the walkway for Coco to do his business. In my mind I was repeating my question to Spirit when I suddenly tripped and grabbed for the wall next to me. There, right by my shoulder, was a snail on the wall.

The day before I had seen 2 snails. As my fiancé and I often do, we look at our online resources to see if this is a Native America Totem or some known sign from the universe.

The meaning of snail for me was this:

a snail means that areas of one’s life are slow in moving together. On the positive side, the actual snail has determination and you may adhere to the development.

A snail embodies your sensitivity and vulnerability. It means that you have the tendency to isolate yourself, and you would need a lot of perseverance and patience in order to change. This change will occur very slowly. The snail represents self-control and patience, because moving slow means planning and acting with caution.

To fall into a snail after I had just had the experience with two snails the day before, was just another sign of assurance that the message was the same: Be Patient!

I even felt a calm assurance as if an angel spoke to me and said: “You are going to be fine. This is just a time of waiting. Be patient. All will unfold in the perfect time!”

I share this because I know that many of you are experiencing this same feeling of impatience, especially about money and finance. I want you to know that as you read this,

even now, your heart is feeling lighter about your current situation. You are being led into the quiet, too, to get your special sign that all is well—always!

Lifting “Waits”

When I had a garden full of many varying daylilies, in the winter I wouldn’t sit there and think, “Dang, I wish the daylilies were in bloom.” I knew that they would bloom in the early summer. So, with that knowledge, my desire for them to be beautiful again didn’t overwhelm my need to wait. In fact, I prepared the gardens, weeded around the flowers, and made a place for the beauty in my garden to bloom. Perhaps, this is a great way to give ourselves a mental equivalent for the process of waiting for our good to happen.

Fulton J. Sheen says, “Patience is power. Patience is not an absence of action; rather it is “timing.” It waits on the right time to act, for the right principles and in the right way.”

Today I woke up with a bad, bad case of the “Waits!” In a crucial time in the creation process, I am knowing for myself and for you that all things happen in the perfect timing! Spirit is the Author and Finisher of all things in our lives. Right? So, why is it so damn hard to wait?

Remember that when we pray, we ask knowing that our prayers are answered already in the Subjective Consciousness. The knowing part of this equation is the action, like watering and tending to the plants. So, if we lose patience and stop “knowing” that our dreams and treatments are already complete, then we actually stop watering and tending to the plants and they wither. I’ve had a few withering houseplants before. You can get to them before they die and revive them. It’s not too late for your dreams either. Get back to believing in the Law of Spirit until you see the effects of your dreams and prayer and treatments in your life.

I have noticed in my life that I often get to the place where I’m about to create something magnificent. But, then I get anxious just about the time I should be waiting, like a caterpillar in a cocoon for the metamorphosis of change to occur within me and in the universal Subjective Mind. This is like ordering food in a restaurant. The kitchen at a restaurant is the subjective mind, where all dreams are prepared. Your dreams (the food) will be served when it is ready—but not a minute before.

So, if you are waiting for something in your life—a relationship, a new job, a powerful dream, a healing, or new friends; then you must make sure that at this point in the creation process, you don’t lose steam. Let’s keep our chins up together, despite the lack of effect in our life. Ernest Holmes says, “Keep treating for the results, believing, until you see the effects in your life!” (paraphrased)
