Out From My Declaration #creating #dreaming #newfuture

If you cannot imagine what you want or desire to attain in life, you probably will never see change manifest. The creative process is specific to building an amazing edifice. You must begin with a great blueprint and a plan. Make a list of things you need? But even more specifically, to do this, you must have a crystal clear vision of what you desire to create. Great architects even build small replicas of their larger ideas to maintain their vision. After they build these mock-ups, they show them to their clients to share their vision. So, how can we take these steps and manifest a new, happy, and prosperous dream from our declaration?

Vision boards are a great way to begin the dreaming process. If you have never made a vision board before, simply take a large piece of cardboard or a corkboard and begin placing cut out pictures from magazines and printed-out pictures from the Internet on the board, displaying carefully what you want to manifest. Print out large words that are key to the change, such as DREAM BIG AND CLEAR! to remind yourself to take time to focus everyday.

Most importantly, once you gain a clear vision of what you desire, you must move forward and take steps to manifest your dream.

Every building process takes a blueprint, a financial plan, and time delineation. You need these aspects for dream to manifest.

Once your plan is foolproof, you can begin to take steps forward. Building your foundation strong enough for your life to support your dream take prioritization. Know your plan and stick to it, no matter what you hear or see from the people around you. You are in charge of your new life. Take the reins!

Once you begin on your path toward your dream, there may be blocks ahead. But a great architect continues to see the finished product throughout the building process. You may have to sidestep some of your old plans to get to the end result. But, you will not stop—you cannot stop—until the vision is complete.

Ernest Holmes speaks of the creative process saying that you must continue to “treat” for your vision until you see the manifestation of it. This doesn’t mean that you don’t believe your dream while you treat for your vision. But, speaking your truth daily, like an affirmation, bears great import for your own mind to stay on target to your great and fabulous future.

Creative Anticipation—Happily Dream. Worry About the How Later!

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if everything you dreamed could come true in an instant? Well, if we believed in quantum physics, perhaps the time between dreaming and creating the dream is stacked on top of each other—happening at the same time in our consciousness. If that were true, would you take more time to dream and less time to worry about how your dream would come into fruition?

Three years ago I had a dream about a book. I had no idea what the name of it was going to be. I knew it would help people. I knew it would work on relationships, spirituality, physical health, emotional health, and be a guide to clearer meditation.

To tell you the truth, at first, a lot of ego worry went into this book. I had had a writing contract with a publisher that was to be a spin-off of my relationship book. We were thinking there would be three books total that spun off of “Your Gay Friend’s Guide to Understanding Men.”

I tried to picture what my new spiritual book would be like in the format of a Gay Man’s guide to spirituality. Every time I would try to write it, I would get stuck. Something felt completely wrong with the entire premise. Yet, I wanted to satisfy my contract, because it was a something tangible, and I had a publisher. Most people don’t have the luxury of both as a writer.

But my calling was lifting me above the physical trappings of contracts and publishers. I heard a voice in my hear that said, “Let your old ideas go and start from the beginning.”

Despite that calling, it took another two attempts at satisfying the publisher before the publisher and I came to an agreement to dissolve our relationship. It was a friendly agreement. I still talk with them, because they still hold the rights to one of my books.

But this meant I had to start from the beginning. No agent. No manuscript. No idea. Just God.

But saying “just God” is saying a lot. When God has a plan, there is something magical in store, if you just follow through with the plan. The plan started out as this: “Bo, write a blog that encourages people! Write it daily without missing a day. And I will bless it.”

So, without any knowledge of blogs and what to do with one, I started out writing a blog in a free space on my current website, which was a bad mistake. But, you know, you just don’t understand what you are to do until the time comes. I guess I was to make all my mistakes with the blog before it went a little viral.

I wrote for almost six months. I know a few people were reading it because I would get notes that people were changing and benefiting from it, but I didn’t get the true picture of what was happening until one day about nine months into it, I realized I had a statics page on this not-so-good blogsite. I had been avoiding looking at that page, because I didn’t want to get discouraged by it. So, when I finally looked at it and saw how many people had visited the site, and how many more had subscribed to it—about 19,000 consistent followers—I was overwhelmed with pleasure and thanking God.

What next? I asked. But I didn’t get an answer.

Then my mind went into business mode. How do I get what I’m doing into a book or into an agent’s or publisher’s hands? I contacted a few friends in the biz. Everyone seemed interested, but they seemed to slam the door in my face after a few minutes of talking. Something was not congealed or right about my platform that turned each person off. (For people who are not writers or performers, a platform is a brand of sorts that attracts a following of people. Each of the people thought my platform was underdeveloped.)

I realized that in the development of what I had been doing, what I really was missing was a brand. This is why in December the blog switched to “Finding Authentic You.”

Finally, what I was doing and whom I was writing to made sense. It took me almost two years to uncover the process. All that had happened in the past was necessary to come to this one moment of realization and clarity.

Then after all of this took place, I built the new website. This time I did it correctly. When I did, I learned I had been going about blogs all-wrong. I found out about Word Press and Blogger and all of these wonderful ways to advertise your blog, which I had never used before. Suddenly, even after only 20 days of my new blog being up, I’m getting 5000 hits a day on just my new site. That is not counting the other 4 places I post to—Blogger, Google+, WordPress, and Facebook.

I can also say that I have finally gotten the next step of direction from Spirit, which I’m very excited about. I’m not going to share it with you yet. But I will in the near future when it becomes a reality.

All this to say that Dreaming is Reality. Dreaming is expressing the next step, no matter what it looks like. Dreaming doesn’t often take a financial leap immediately. In fact, most times, dreams take a great deal of time and energy to come to full fruition. Don’t be afraid of that. Let your dreams unfold naturally and completely. Stay with your old job if you need to until the entire dream expresses. And most importantly, stick to your purpose, no matter what.

If you get stuck, think of me writing those first 90 blogs with about 20 people reading them. It didn’t matter. God was flowing through me and starting the process of a pure channel of truth. What can be a better source for spirit than you being open to something spiritually wonderful flowing through perfect, individual, wonderful you?

Essential Tools for a Creative New Year

Everyone seems to want to put the past year behind him/her and begin the New Year with gusto and a set of new goals. In past years, I would take the last week of December and the first week of January off, sit on the beach and write in a journal, reflecting on the desire for change and praying about what I would like to create in my life for the next year.

With this prayer I would set intentions. The dictionary defines intention as “an aim or a plan.” I think that is exactly what our subconscious needs to move us forward and bring us powerful energy from the ethers. Even the Christian and Jewish Bible says in Proverbs 29:18 that “People without a vision will perish!”

I believe God understands the nature of human brains. To plan in our minds and then to create after we have come up with a solid plan is the sign of a good builder. This is a significant way to begin anything, even an idea for a new business or an new outlook on life. Start with a great blueprint.

Everything in life takes a good plan in mind to express in your life as solid matter.

Vision boards are a good way to express dreams or desires for a new way of living. To create a vision board, simply find an old corkboard or a blank poster board. What I do is cut out pictures from magazines that represent my dreams. If I can’t find a picture, I will look on the Internet for one or type out the word in a bold font and print it out to go somewhere on the board. Basically, just begin a large collage of the pictures and words you want to manifest in the near future.

Then place the vision board somewhere prominent in your bedroom, so that you can see it every day. I would make it a point to say a prayer or meditate by the vision board everyday.

For instance, before my last book was ever published, I made a vision board of the mock-up cover and all the places I wanted to travel with the book. I put a picture of Oprah on it. Pictures of New York and Los Angeles bookstores where prominently spaced in the center. A copy of my first check from the book was also on the vision board to represent prosperity. I made a check out for a million dollars and put it on the vision board. All these things are perfectly fine to dream about.

So what, if all of the dreams don’t come true. At least you are moving forward with your vision and your dream. At one point about a year after the book was published, it was time to take down that board and replace it with a new vision of what my next plan was. I prayerfully asked what my next move would be. And set out to make plans to be prosperous mind, body and spirit as God led me.

You see, I don’t look at monetary reciprocity as the only means of success. Sometimes, you just have to do what’s on your heart and trust that the money will follow. This blog, for instance, is purely a vision from my heart. I write every day with no expectation of finance. I came up with the idea of “FINDING AUTHENTIC YOU” and I feel like a business will be created around that name. I’m not sure exactly what that is. It may be a set of books, workbooks, vision boards, etc. Who knows, really?

I feel God led me to write, and this is what I am to do today. I have been doing this for almost two years with only one person sending me $25 last week as a thank you present. The money was truly unexpected and a pleasant surprise. Someone from my church sent the money as a tithe from her heart because she said that the blog helped her. That thought gave me the idea to incorporate the name into a ministry or a business. You must open your arms to prosperity and the opportunities for prosperity for money to flow in your life.

See if you can take one step forward today in creating your new dream.
